Prosperity Gospel is based upon purity…if you are good and behave as a Christian God will bless you and that blessing will primarily be and fundamentally be economic. So it's primarily some kind of worship-for-blessings setup. God's will for your life, for my life, and for all the people in the world is that we may all have abundance in every realm of our existence. When will that next steak dinner be? When I share with my partners what God is doing, they will jump at the chance to be part of this amazing opportunity. Your blessings, your health, your finances, etc…. For the next few weeks I'll be posting on 100 Lessons on Prosperity. How can I make the most money in my situation? Then there are these “Prosperity God” churches, who it is all centered on the money you give. How will I find my dream house? How can I save enough for retirement? The word for 'life' used in this passage is 'zoe', which refers to divine life. The central idea of the prosperity message is that if you worship God then you will be blessed materially. It is God's will that all believers be prosperous and successful in every area of our lives. That verse continues, “Yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” It is God's will that you prosper! When I use the words: prosperous and successful I am referring to every realm of existence—spirit, soul, body and financially. Scripture clearly establishes how intensely God desires to display His goodness and His love toward man by pouring out His prosperity and abundance. The prosperity gospel says God will help you serve your own sin: the love of world, lust of the eyes, and pride of life (I Jn 2:15-17).
